THE iconic Swan Lake ballet is set to return to the Sydney Opera House with Hunter-raised Olivia Bell and Robert Curran centre stage.

After a sell-out season in Melbourne, the Australian Ballet principal artists will perform at the Opera House from April 4 to 24.

Bell, who plays the Baroness von Rothbart, and Curran, who plays Prince Siegfried, are an essential part of the cast in Graeme Murphy's critically acclaimed production.

Bell's performance will be beamed back into the region on Wednesday, April 9.

Majestic Cinemas in Singleton will host Swan Lake live via satellite from the Opera House on this date. Bell will be playing the baroness on April 9 while Curran is scheduled to be Prince Siegfried the following evening.

Curran grew up at Denman and attended the Tessa Maunder dance school with Bell (pictured) from Eleebana.
