The Red Shoes is the work of

internationally acclaimed choreographer

Simon Dow and features the talented

dancers of the West Australian Ballet.

After hiring a

brilliant composer

and a gifted young

dancer to work on

a new masterpiece,

the director

becomes infatuated

with the dancer and

is fanatical in his

ambition for her

to succeed.

When she falls in love with the charismatic

composer, a jealous triangle unfolds

leaving the ballerina faced with the

impossible task of

choosing between

her two great loves.

Based on the

1948 movie,

The Red Shoes

is one of the

greatest dance

stories of our time

and tells the tale

of a beautiful

ballerina torn

between her

two passions

 ballet, and the

man she loves.
