PRUE Duma's company, Planet Dance, teaches classical, ballet, funky jazz, hip hop and contemporary dance styles.

She is presently teaching dance to the Holy Spirit schools at Abermain and Kurri Kurri for a combined concert in the Catholic Parish Hall at Kurri Kurri in term three.

The dances will complement well-known nursery rhymes.

Ms Duma has organised the music and choreographed the dance steps as well as the combined schools finale.

Ms Duma travelled to Japan with Dance Encore Productions and danced in the closing ceremony of the Sydney Olympics.

Ms Duma said children were inspired by performing.

"It is important every child to learn to dance as it develops co-ordination, posture, grace, balance and allows them to express themselves through the joy of movement," Ms Duma said.
